Tonight's reunion dinner at my in laws, I contributed my mom's famous braised mushrooms. I am glad that I got favourable comments on the dish. This dish is one of my mom's many nice dishes that she can produce. We simply love it.

your mum pickles looks so nice, share the recipe ?
ReplyDeleteregarding ur braised mushroom, tis is my late grandmother's tip, try adding a little bit of rock sugar to it, it'll make the mushroom more crunchier, n smooth.....yummmm....
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips. Surprisingly, I seldom use sugar for cooking, will try out this next. Accordingly to my mom, somehow the quality of the mushroom counts alot in making this dish a superb one.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the ginger juice ?
Cheers
Ling
Ling, you grate it from an old ginger. Squeeze out the juice and dispose the fibre.
