How I wish - a magic wand

This is going to be one hell of a bad news. I am digging deeper and deeper into hot shits. Yes, the most dreaded news!!! I LOST HALF of my blog. Yes nearly 300 posts went into thin air. Whossh.. just like at. (I am thinking about all my recipes that I have tried and tested) *in tears now* Worst to come, I haven't been backing up my blog since August last year!!! I now am at a lost. To continue to blog and move on from here or just shut it down. To continue, even with 2007 and part 2008 back up, I will be struggling to cut and paste and link back all my pictures. Damn damn damn. I wish I have a magic wand right this moment. Guess this is the most dreaded news a blogger can have. What a day.

  2. Hi Edith,

It's sad to hear that. I was trying to go into your blog last night and was denied access. I wanted to tell you that I tried your recipes on Beef with Celery and my kids loves them very much. I want to try your almond jelly but seems like it had vanished into thin air. Anyway don't feel too sad, take it easy and everything will be okay...:-)

  3. Oh no, how did that happened? Infact i enjoyed reading your blog. Yesterday, i was trying to read your blog too and was denied access, i was so sad. I thought there go my leisure reading. Good thing i came back again today and were able to get in.

    Can understand your heartache.
Oh btw, recently i read some where that bloggers' blog also have this thing called "memory full", i don't know how is it so, but it does happened.

I have a suggestion, maybe you could separate ur tried and tested recipe under another blog title, then should anything happened here again (touch wood) u still have ur recipe.

  9. Hi, I'm shock to see this news. Are the posts lost in random or only the earlier posts before 2007 are lost? Cos I can still see your posts in 2005 (although can't find them in the side menu).

  10. Chicchicbaby, it was a fast finger action that got almost everything deleted. haiz.... inattentiveness on my part.

Thanks Ivy for the comforting words. Glad that your kids like the beef with celery dish. I am now trying to slowly fill up what I have lost. Seems quite a fair bit and hopefully the almond jelly is there too.

Thanks New Baker for the support. I am not sure about the memory full thing but I might migrate to typepress. But for sure, I am going to diligently back up my postings on a monthly basis. LOLz.

Reena, thanks so much for the support. I will try to make it a better place. My honour to have yours linked.

Octopusmom, thanks for the support. Actually I have myself to blame for the mistake. haiz... Second time still don't wake up the lazy bone of mine to do backups.

Thanks Ellena, I am glad that all is well with you. God bless.

Queen Butter, thanks for dropping by. Too costly to engage pro help lah. Not a famous blog I have that worth that kind of investment. I think I just start afresh. THis time to be smarter. BACK UP!!!

Small small baker. Yes it was random. I am now trying to fill up the gap between the years (v slow process). I lost a good part of 2007/08 and some 09. Hopefully I can replaced them again. Give me some time.

  12. I'm so sorry to hear this. How did this happened ? I'm also curious as to how you backup your blog.

I would be so upset if this happened to me. Anyway, a big hug to you & hope you'll be able to figure an easy way to restore your blog.
