Cupcake Fever

It seems like there is a cupcake fever going round in Singapore. All of a sudden, alot of us has taken interest in "dolling" up cupcakes. For me, I have been observing this a few months ago but never really taken up the courage to try it, partly because of time and partly because I am not good with frosting. In fact, last week I tried my hand at it. I flopped twice out of the three batches that I baked. My frosting was such a disaster that I threw away two batches into the bin. Really really demoralised but after seeming so many success stories going around. I plucked up my courage and attempted it again, with better mood of course. Bingo! The texture was really nice and my frosting ain't too bad I hope. Let me introduce you to my Easter Cupcake! Photobucket Photobucket

  5. Hi Evan, you got a cool blog too and I have your fondue pot. I tried to leave a comment but unavailable to. BTW, where did you get your pot from.

Piccola, yes, these ducklings are created by me. I used sugar paste to do it.

  6. hi, i got my fondue pot from robinsons at only $12.90. i thought of investing on a fondue fountain...saw one at carrefour but quite expensive :p

by the way can i juz ask a qn..i bought those disposable plastic piping bag from daiso at only $2. but when i attached the head and tried piping, the head keeps coming off. izit becoz the mixture is too thick? the mixture i tried to pipe was a butter/flour mixture (wanting to pipe viennese fingers), not those normal cream, so i cant seem to pipe successfully without the head keeps coming off. would appreciate yr views thx!

  7. If you really want to go into this hobby. Invest in a better ones (easily avail in those baking supplies) for the piping tips and bag.

For cookies, I used my cookie press that can double up as a piping tube.
